Temp holding page for THE MUSIC HALL ACADEMY

Inspiring the joy of music, theater and dance through classes, lessons, residencies, workshops and performances.

The Academy is under the direction of Kevin Kearins who is celebrating his 40th anniversary as Artistic Director of KJK Productions. Kevin has produced more than 75 Mainstage and over 200 children’s theater productions in the tri-state area and has implemented a successful after school theater program in dozens of districts schools throughout Westchester County. He has had extensive training, both nationally and in Europe, in all aspects of Voice, Theatre and Arts Administration. Mr Kearins holds a Bachelors and Masters in Education/Theatre and is a member of SSDC (the professional national union of Society of Stage Directors & Choreographers).

The Music Hall Academy is committed to providing children and youth with access to the performing arts. We consider the arts to be an irreplaceable tool for personal growth, a gift that keeps giving throughout our lives. For us, the journey is the goal, every lesson and rehearsal an exploration and an adventure. The performance is the “cherry on top” at the end of this process.

The Addams Family, a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story and it’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before– keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.
