Emily Denise & Elizabeth M Golden

Visual Arts

Emily Denise, founder of Emily Denise Fine Art in Tarrytown, NY, is a representational artist and teacher who creates works from life in oil and pencil with a focus on naturalism and careful observation.

Emily’s life-long love of art was always encouraged and supported from early childhood by her mother, Elizabeth M Golden, who is also an artist. In high school, Emily studied with artist Athena He at Studio A Gallery where she fell in love with working from live models, and was introduced to oil painting. From there, she completed a four-year intensive drawing and painting program at Grand Central Atelier and honed her observational figurative drawing and painting skills. She founded Main Street Atelier with Came Salaz in 2019 and later formed her own teaching studio. She has shown her work at Eleventh Street Gallery in NYC and Collins Galleries in Cape Cod.

Elizabeth M Golden, a water color painter and teaching assistant in the Tarrytown Public Schools for 15 years, holds a BFA from SUNY Purchase and a Masters Degree in Art Education from Pace University.
