This ukulele class is a wonderful way for parents and their children to bond while learning to play a musical instrument together, and the ukulele is a fun and joyous instrument to play! Parents and kids learn to tune, strum chords and play songs. Ukuleles are supplied or students may bring their own. Included in the class are felt ukulele picks to help with strumming.

Local artist Emily Denise offers private and small group art lessons for children and teens of all ages and experience levels. Emily’s mom Liz Golden, who has an extensive background in children’s education, co-instructs these individualized and child-centered art lessons. If you think your child would be interested in self-directed studio time in a working artist’s studio, with access to a large variety of materials and media, as well as personal guidance, encouragement, and curation of projects, then these classes might be the perfect fit!

Classes take place at The Lyceum Building on Central Avenue, one block from the Music Hall.
